Inslee staffs up in New Hampshire

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee's presidential campaign has hired a new Hampshire state director, the latest addition in the campaign's staffing in early primary states.

Jennifer Keeler will run Inslee's climate-focused campaign in New Hampshire, his campaign told POLITICO. Keeler, who has served as a campaign manager and field organizer in the past, was most recently the North Carolina state field director for Open Progress, a voting-rights group.

She has also served as the state Senate caucus director for Delaware Democrats.

Keeler's hiring follows the Inslee campaign's hiring of Keith Presley as Iowa state director. Presley most recently was a senior adviser for the Florida Democratic coordinated campaign in 2018. He has also been a deputy campaign manager for Sen. Ben Cardin (D-Md.) and has been involved in field organizing efforts in Arkansas, Iowa, Maryland, Missouri, and New York.

Presley's hiring was first reported by the Des Moines Register.

Inslee has staked the early days of his campaign on climate change, recently rolling out a major plan on the issue.

“Jenn and Keith are excellent additions to the Inslee for America campaign team,” Inslee campaign manager Aisling Kerins said in a statement. “These new hires are a sign of the growing momentum behind Governor Inslee’s campaign, as voters are calling for a leader who will put climate change first. We’re excited to have these two incredible organizers on the frontlines in Iowa and New Hampshire.”
